I'm doing the repair on the boat. It's going to be a combo of riveting, epoxy/fiberglass, and rubber gasket. I did get a couple of quotes from local AL boat repair and they were quoting $800 to $1500. I did look online for aluminum sheet metal (.080") for a 4x8 sheet it would be $150 plus $150 to ship it freight. Most of the local metal suppliers in the area did not have the type of aluminum I needed (5052) and it was special order and cost the same or more.

There are two spot on the boat that need new metal the whole transom ( the bottom is full of holes and needs to be fully replaced) & the 2ft of the bottom stern. Only 3 bends on the transom and that's it so not really hard. I estimated that I will need to replace/install 400 rivets.
Original metal thickness is .080" or 5/64.

I'm ordering the material I need this coming week. If anyone knows of a supplier in Connecticut that has a fair price let me know.
