Crimping is a method used to create waves on any ductile material that has a straight surface such as steel or stainless steel alloys. Ductility aids the manufacturer in getting a distinct shape for a Crimped Wire Mesh . Used heavily in the mining industry, the material used to manufacture them is usually very durable. And since vibrations are a result of mining operations the alloys need to be able to withstand high levels of shock and vibrations. There are various methods used by Crimped Wire Mesh Manufacturers  including double crimping, intermediate, flat top as well as lock crimping. While the most common use of the Stainless Steel Crimped Wire Mesh  is in the field of mining, the other applications of the mesh include its use as a protective fence for stairs or equipment. Amongst the four crimp types, the most stable variety is the Lock Crimp Wire Mesh  because the structure of the crimp is what gives it stability because on each side of the raised wire there is a wire that is pressed against it creating a stable lock structure. On the other hand, a Double Crimped Wire Mesh  has a rigid construction with a tight mesh structure. This structure is also commonly known as a plain weave wire mesh. To get accurate crimping, the wires are put through a pre-crimping process. The accuracy of the pre-crimping process is such that the wires used to make a Crimped Mesh  will have a snug fit or will lock themselves at the appropriate intersections.

Crimped mesh is a type of heavy mesh screen woven of crimped steel wire. Also known as space cloth. The wires pre-crimped stay and maintain an accurate mesh structure with added strength and rigidity. This rigid woven wire cloth is widely used in mining, guarding and other uses.

Crimping patterns: Double crimp, lock crimp, intermediate crimp.

2. Black wire: Black steel wire, also known as high carbon steel wire with greater hardness. With added manganese, it is called high manganese crimped wire mesh with increased wearing resistance. Commonly used in the mining screen mesh. Common manganese steel used:45 # Mn, 65 # Mn.
3. Galvanized wire: applied to crimped wire mesh with small wire diameter, used to make wire mesh barbecue.
4. Galvanized Redrawing Wire:
Compared with galvanized steel wire, the redrawing wire has one time less annealing processing as detail listed below:
Average galvanized wire production process is: Rod - Drawing - annealing - drawing - annealing - galvanized.
Redrawing wire production process is: Rod - Drawing - annealing - Zinc Plating - Drawing.
As a result of the processing difference, galvanized redrawing wire has more strength compared with common galvanized wire, less good corrosion resistance and it costs less.

Crimped wire mesh can be calculated according to the following formula : square meter weight (kg) = wire diameter × wire diameter ×mesh count ÷ 2 × n [ Note: mesh count = 25.4 ÷ ( aperture + wire diameter ) ]

When large crimped wire mesh or crimped intermediate weaving, n= 1.13, in the fine wire diameter, it is 1.1. It is referred as large wire diameter when it is 4mm up.

The machine controls operating speed by variable frequency motor and can achieve the maximum weaving speed and a fully automated, programmable, high efficiency production within the requirement scope of the wire diameter and mesh opening.

This machine operates in the form of crimping before weaving, with weft wire feeding by hand and automatic feeding of warp wire, designed for thick wire.

Automatic Wire Mesh Crimping Machine

Automatic Wire Mesh Crimping Machine can be divided into one-off machine, universal machine and whole machine crimping machine.
One-time wire mesh crimping machine comes with a one-time set of embossing dies, the weft wire can be crimped and woven with the fixed warp wire. The universal wire mesh machine can achieve crimping and weaving with one set of mold. It can produce crimped wire mesh with a variety of mesh openings with one machine by adjusting. With crimped warp wire, it can weave fully automatically.

The machine will automatically stop and alarm with weft wire or warp wire mistakes, CNC control, easy operation, multi mesh openings with changing of molds.
